The Residency Selection Committee reviews all applications. Qualified applicants are invited for interviews with faculty and encouraged to visit the department's clinical facilities and spend time with current residents. The Department of Psychiatry participates in the National Resident Matching Program and abides by all its regulations. Bergen New Bridge Medical Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Four Years of Residency Training:
Melis Coklar, M.D.
Dr. Coklar will be an attending psychiatrist at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center.
Crystal Haroon, M.D.
Dr. Haroon will be taking time off to study for the medical board exam.
Prashant Matai, M.D.
Dr. Matai is pursuing an addiction fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Moo Jin Oh, M.D.
Dr. Oh will be pursuing a public and community psychiatry fellowship at Harvard Medical School.
Jessica Racanelli, DO
Dr. Rancanelli is going into private practice in New Jersey.
Shahan Syed, M.D.
Dr. Syed will provide outpatient psychiatry services through Talkiatry as well as inpatient psychiatry at Jersey City Medical Center.
Three Years of Residency Training:
Aparna Balakrishnan, M.D.
Dr. Balakrishnan will be pursuing a child and adolescent fellowship at Penn State College of Medicine.
Nikita Sedani, M.D.
Dr. Sedani will be pursuing a child and adolescent fellowship at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
Rushikesh Vyas, M.D.
Dr. Vyas will be pursuing a child and adolescent fellowship at BronxCare Health System.
