We Need Your Help Urgently
As New Jersey’s largest hospital, Bergen New Bridge is committed to battling the spread of the novel Coronavirus COVID-19 and are treating an increasing number of patients. We are on the front line, screening and caring for those presenting with symptoms of COVID-19 and we desperately need your support.
This crisis has placed significant new demands on our health care system and our health care professionals. We are committed to the health and safety of our patients, long term care residents, staff and all those in seeking our care.
At this time, we need your help to continue to protect our employees and care for our community.Your donation to the Foundation during this unprecedented time will help us meet the increasing demands on our Medical Center. Contributions to the Foundation’s Supporting Our Services (SOS) Fund help us respond to the needs of all those in our care, seeking our care, and our staff and will be immediately deployed to meet the following critical needs**
- Personal Protective Equipment (Surgical masks, gowns, face shields, non-latex gloves, N95s)
- Additional resources in the emergency department and intensive care unit, including ventilators, beds, telehealth capabilities, sanitization resources
- Access to testing (including potential new approaches such as drive-through clinics)
- Social Connection via technology for our long term care residents separated from their loved ones and visitors

Your generosity furthers the mission and vision of the Bergen New Bridge Medical Center Foundation to enhance the lives of the patients, long term care residents, and communities served by BNBMC.
In October 2017, the Medical Center came under new not-for-profit management, Care Plus Bergen, Inc., and was renamed Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. The Medical Center, a clinical affiliate of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, is a 1,070-bed hospital based in Paramus, New Jersey. New Bridge, a safety net facility, provides high-quality comprehensive services including long-term care, behavioral health care and acute care to the greater Bergen County community. As a Veterans Choice provider, The Foundation’s support of programs at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center will help further the Medical Center’s mission to care for veterans in their communities.
The Foundation supporting the Medical Center is a not-for-profit entity raising funds to help enhance the lives of the patients, long term care residents, and communities served by Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. The Mission of the Foundation
With a glance at a woman in her sixties who suffered neurological arrest, you can quickly feel her pain and suffering. A woman once so vibrant who cared for her family was left in the fetal position with feeding tubes and severe depression. She initially only responded to French, her native tongue. Her family was told that she might never come out of this state. After receiving therapy and attending classes regularly at the New Bridge Greenhouse and Horticultural Therapy Center, she not only regained her smile, she regained her mobility too. Staff and family members are still astonished by her progress.
Holidays can be hard for those long term care residents who do not have any family. Yet it only takes a warm nose and a wagging tail of one of New Bridge’s pet therapy dogs to bring the smile back to their faces.
The Greenhouse and the Pet Therapy Programs are some of the many projects supported by the Foundation.
Thanks to the support of people like you, this is one of only many similar stories. The Foundation has offered many patients and long term care residents an enhanced quality of life and happiness because of continued and generous donations. Make a donation to the Foundation
