Center for Comprehensive Addiction Treatment (CCAT) at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center

Our CCAT is a new collaborative approach combining high-quality substance use disorder treatment, recovery services, and supportive comprehensive healthcare. The mission of CCAT is to provide all our patients with individualized, evidence-based, and stigma free care.

The Center provides programs and services for all the stages and phases of a patient’s journey to address their substance use disorder and establish a supportive recovery plan. CCAT stabilizes, treats, and refers patients to appropriate resources using a collaborative approach.

Our Centralized Screening Center is the first stop for a patient being admitted to CCAT which increases access and eliminates barriers to care. The team at CCAT determines the optimal next step for the patient. For some, this will mean admission to our Withdrawal Management Unit. For those admitted to this unit, they can then move to either a short-term inpatient unit, the Evergreen Outpatient Addiction Treatment Program, Medication-Assisted Treatment, or other treatment option.

If inpatient withdrawal management is deemed not necessary, the Centralized Screening Center may recommend admission to the following:

  • Short-term Residential Treatment
  • Co-occurring Substance Use Disorder & Mental Health Unit
  • Evergreen Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program
  • Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for Adults & Adolescents
  • Medication-Assisted Treatment
  • Peer Recovery Center

In addition to world-class substance use disorder treatment and recovery services, CCAT also provides supportive stigma free primary healthcare through the Comprehensive Care Clinic. The Clinic provides supportive healthcare and referrals to specialty health services for those dealing with substance use disorders.

Through the Medical Center, CCAT also provides screening and treatment for HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B & C. The LGBTQ+ Health & Wellness Center at the Medical Center provides gender-affirming healthcare as well as sexual healthcare including PEP, PrEP, and more.

CCAT is fortunate to have exceptional partnerships within the community that include Integrity House, CarePlus New Jersey, Rutgers University, Buddies of NJ, and more.
