Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Not every chemically dependent patient requires inpatient or residential treatment. Many successfully enter into recovery through an effective outpatient treatment program.
The IOP offers a structured program consisting of a primary treatment modality of the group and a weekly individual session with a Licensed or Credential Alcohol and Drug Counselor. The group structure is 3 hours a day for at least 3 days a week, with specialized groups conducted on Tuesdays and Fridays for continued support.
The treatment team, including the patient, the patient’s counselors, and a psychiatrist, when needed, will determine how many days a week and how long a patient will attend the program.
Evergreen IOP is a co-occurring licensed program providing mental health counselors and social workers to help address and support mental health needs and dual diagnoses. Our Board Addiction Certified psychiatrists can help with medication monitoring if needed.
The Intensive Outpatient Program is approximately 6 months, starting at 3 times a week for the first four months. The client will begin to step down, if appropriate, after being assessed by the treatment team at the end of the four months. Step down consists of approximately one month of attending 2 group sessions and 1 individual session weekly - plus attending 12 step meetings or community support groups for additional support as needed.
After progressing successfully and being reassessed by the treatment team- the client will begin aftercare. Aftercare consists of one group session for 1 hour weekly, 1 individual session weekly, as well as attending 12 step meetings for the remainder of treatment.
Outpatient Groups and Services are available, if determined by an assessment during intake, and will be discussed with the treatment team for an appropriate schedule of groups and/or individual treatment.
- Day Program: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 9:30am-12:30pm
- Evening Program: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 6:00pm-9:00pm

Outpatient treatment aims to provide support, structure, and therapy to allow patients to remain on their journey toward self-mastery while living at home and being active within their community (work, volunteering, school, etc.).

The primary goal of the Evergreen Outpatient Program is to successfully treat patients in the least restrictive environment. All participants are closely monitored and receive appropriate referral services dependent on progress and reaction to treatment.
