'5 Minutes to Help' is a New Jersey-based training program for first responders (EMS, police, fire) focused on the crucial moments after administering naloxone for an opioid overdose, teaching compassionate communication, patient-centered care, and linking patients to recovery resources (treatment, support) when they might refuse hospital transport, helping bridge the gap from overdose reversal to long-term recovery support.
