Bergen New Bridge Medical Center Partners with Navus Health to Offer @ Home COVID-19 Tests and Other Laboratory Testing Services
Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, New Jersey’s largest hospital and a clinical affiliate of Rutgers, is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with NavusHealth for the development of at-home diagnostic services. Fueled by lessons learned from the pandemic, Bergen New Bridge realized the need to provide patients laboratory testing in the convenience of their own homes.
“Navus Health’s technology and distribution platform enable us to offer our communities another tool in our Bergen New Bridge @ Home program focusing on and initial roll-out of COVID-19 and STD laboratory testing as well as other future community health and wellness testing services,” said Aaron Hajart, Chief Operating Officer and Vice President for Strategy and Innovation at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center.
In addition to the new in-home collected COVID-19 tests, the Bergen New Bridge-Navus partnership recently launched their first of many women's health tests in the New Jersey market. This service provides discreet and convenient lab grade testing for sexually transmitted infections (STI), sexually transmitted diseases (STD) and other tests for wellness monitoring, informational and educational use. STDs are considered a silent disease that has presented an alarming increase in recent years within the United States. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reported more than 2.5 million cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea & syphilis in 2019, a 30% increase since 2015, and the numbers keep rising.
Over the coming months, the Bergen New Bridge @ Home and Navus Health partnership will roll out routine blood work, drug screenings, allergy testing, and number of other hospital laboratory tests.
