Bergen New Bridge Medical Center Hosts 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony
The Medical Center held a ceremony marking the 24th anniversary
Hundreds of community members, elected officials, first responders, and healthcare heroes came together on the Bergen New Bridge Medical Center campus for its annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony.
Gathered at the Medical Center’s 9/11 Memorial, attendees honored the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and reflected on the extraordinary sense of unity that emerged on September 12.
“As we remember 9/11, I also want us to reflect on September 12,” said Deborah Visconi, President & CEO of Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. “The day after the attacks, amid unspeakable sorrow, something extraordinary happened — our nation came together. Let us recommit ourselves — not only to never forget — but to always remember the lesson of that time: that we are stronger together, that kindness heals, and that love will always outshine hate.”
The ceremony included moments of silence, the reading of names, and reflections from community partners reminding all in attendance that the legacy of 9/12 lives on through acts of compassion, service, and solidarity.
