Bergen New Bridge Medical Center to Host Our Community Table Food Security Program

The Medical Center will be serving meals to those in need in response to the delayed SNAP disbursement for November

(Paramus, NJ) – Paramus, NJ – – Bergen New Bridge Medical Center has created the Our Community Table program for those struggling with food insecurity due to delays in their SNAP benefit or who have been affected by the federal shutdown. The Medical Center is opening its Bistro Café every Tuesday and Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. to welcome affected community members for a meal served in a caring space.
“At Bergen New Bridge, we believe caring for our community goes far beyond medical care, it’s about meeting people where they are and ensuring everyone has what they need to live well,” said Bergen New Bridge President and CEO Deborah Visconi. “This is part of our ongoing commitment to equity, dignity, and compassion and ensuring that no one in Bergen County goes hungry or feels alone.”
Those interested in attending Our Community Table do not need to register or complete any forms once they arrive. Guests should enter through the main entrance of the Medical Center where they will be directed to the Bistro Café.
