The Medical Center Celebrates Pride Month with a Flag Raising and Resource Festival
Bergen New Bridge Medical Center hosted its annual Pride Celebration Flag Raising Ceremony and Resource Festival. Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco and Bergen New Bridge President and CEO Deborah Visconi along with the Bergen County Board of Commissioners, and the Bergen New Bridge LGBTQ+ Health and Wellness team spoke about the importance of caring for the community and the power of allyship.
“We raise this flag not just as a celebration—but as a promise. A promise that we will continue to be a place where Pride lives all year round. A promise that we will continue to care for everyone—fully, compassionately, and without compromise. A promise that no matter who you are, who you love, or how you identify, Bergen New Bridge will always be here—for you. And we will continue to foster a culture of allyship—where each of us understands our role in creating a more just, more accessible healthcare system,” said Deborah Visconi, President & CEO, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center.
The Medical Center opened its LGBTQ+ Health and Wellness Center in 2020 and recently expanded it to a new location in Bergenfield, NJ due to the increased demand for care and services.
The event also included a resource fair with community organizations and agencies, music, and refreshments.
