Sarah Sheikh, MD, PGY 4
I am a PGY 4 resident at New Bridge Medical Center for the 2017-2018 academic year. I completed my undergraduate degree at Rutgers University where I majored in Biological sciences and Psychology, and subsequently completed my medical degree at Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) School of Medicine. I have been an integral part of the residency program throughout my four years of residency training, serving on multiple hospital committees, participating in research projects with publications, and functioning as a junior attending during my senior year electives.
My residency training at New Bridge has contributed immeasurably to my professional growth, my clinical skills, and my confidence and readiness to practice independently as a psychiatrist. It has given me an excellent foundation for the next phase of my training in the Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. I would enthusiastically recommend the New Bridge residency to anyone who wishes to obtain outstanding training for a career as a psychiatrist.
