Visiting Hours Information
Long Term Care Residents and Unit 11-4 Acute
The preferred visiting hours are 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., however, the patient or resident’s choice is honored for visiting hours if their choice does not interfere with others and clinical care.
The Medical Center has established hours for patients in the ICU/CCU to ensure the patient has an environment conducive to recovery. The hours for the ICU/CCU are daily:
- 10:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.
- 2:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- 7 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Medical Detox and D-1 Forensic Units
Visitors are not permitted in the Medical Detox (11-3 and 11-4) nor the D-1 Forensic units.
Behavioral Health Patients
Visiting behavioral health patients is limited to two visitors during the hours. Hours are limited, so our patients may focus on their recovery through rest, recreation, and group sessions. The following hours apply to all units except for rehabilitation (F1 and C2) for Behavioral Health inpatients daily:
- 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.
F1 and C2 Units
Unit F1 has visiting hours on Sunday from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Unit C2 has visiting hours on Sunday from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
Bergen New Bridge Medical Center allows patients and residents to receive visitors of the patient or resident’s choosing. Patients and residents have the right to allow or deny visitation on an individual basis or as a general preference for visitation.
As a visitor, you must receive a visitor’s badge from the front lobby, wear the badge prominently, and for Long Term Care, sign the Visitor’s Log upon entering the unit. If patient or resident has a roommate, you must be respectful and not interfere with the rights, privacy, nor clinical care of the roommate. Should this be a concern, staff will find an alternative location for your visit.
The Medical Center asks you to refrain from visiting if ill, so nobody’s health is compromised. If you have a mild cough or cold and limited availability to visit, you are asked to wear a mask, available in the Main Lobby and in most units while you are visiting.
